We need your help with the following

 

Project Coordinators – To lead on specific projects on behalf of HACCT

Marketing and Sponsorship – to support the implementation its the marketing and sponsorship plan for Carnival 2017 and beyond

Artistic Performance & Programming – influencing, organising and advising on all aspects of artistic programming.

Teaching and Learning – delivering Carnival History and Carnival Arts workshops

Bid writers – developing bids in line with the Trust objectives

 

In addition, we would love to hear from you if you are interested in any of the following;

 

Parade Stewards

Role: To work across the carnival site helping with all aspects of event production. You will be required to assist with the breakdown at the end.

Requirements: flexible, energetic, and reliable, with good communication skills.

Stage Area Support

Role: To work with community groups and other non-amplified performers in one or two of the performance areas. Requirement: You need to be calm and friendly and able to think on your feet and deal with situations as they arise.

Market Stalls set-up

Role: To assist the Carnival Administrator in the set-up of over 25 stalls across the carnival site. You will also need to ensure that the stall holders receive assistance with any issues that may arise throughout the day.

Requirements: You will need clear communication skills and be confident giving directions to stall-holders.

Artist Liaison

Role: To meet and greet and help co-ordinate artists, musicians, and community performance groups arriving at the carnival and to get them to where they’re supposed to be. Working

Requirements: A friendly attitude and clear communication skills are essential for this role.

Float Decor

Role: To assist with dressing parade vehicles and staging. You will also be required to help out at the end.

Requirements: A creative flair with practical sense and willingness to get involved in various decorative activities.

Info & Welfare

Role: We need you to be the face of the carnival! As the first point of contact with the public with regard to carnival information, you will help people with any problems they might encounter such as lost property, first aid, directions, as well as general event information and timings. You may also be helping with fundraising and providing programmes.

Requirements: A friendly approach and the ability to remain calm and clear-headed is essential.

Fundraisers (Bucket Shaking)

Role: The carnival is free to attend but relies on donations to cover the costs of running the day! We need enthusiastic, persuasive and positive people to work in teams persuading the public to part with their change/notes, whilst handing out the carnival programme. You will be mainly based at set points, but will also require a bit of wandering around and common sense at the time where to best pitch your most fruitful position. There will be a prize for the heaviest and most valuable bucket at the end of the event.

Bar and Kitchen service

Role: We need you to be the face of the carnival! This is a vital point of contact with the public with regard to carnival refreshment; you will serve visitors, collect payment and help people with any problems they might encounter such as lost property, first aid, directions, as well as general event information and timings.

Requirements: A friendly approach, speed and accuracy is vital in this role.
